It doesn't read your docs in a browser. It fetches machine-readable files, parses structured responses, and makes decisions based on what it can find programmatically. A discoverable API that agents can't parse is useless. Understandability ensures that once an agent finds your documentation, it can actually extract meaning from it.

Executability
Can an agent act on your API?
The Executability pillar (weight: 30%) measures whether AI agents can authenticate, transact, and interact with your services programmatically. This includes bot authentication, identity verification, payment flows, and marketplace listing.
This is the highest-weighted pillar because execution is where agents provide value. An agent that can discover and understand your API but can't call it is stuck at the door.

Verifiability
Can an agent verify what it observed?
The Verifiability pillar (weight: 25%) measures whether AI agents can verify your identity, infrastructure reliability, and operational metadata through active probing. This includes identity verification, infrastructure checks, and active probing of auth and endpoints.
Verifiability is what makes agent interactions trustworthy. An agent that can call your API but can't verify it's talking to the right service is operating on faith, not evidence.
Key checks: TLS certificate validity (AB-080), DNS consistency (AB-085), endpoint responsiveness (AB-090), pricing transparency (AB-010), rate limit declaration (AB-011).
How Scoring Works
Each check is a binary rule with evidence — pass or fail, no partial credit. The same URL and same ruleset version always produce the same score. There is no subjective scoring, no human review, no opinions.
Your overall Agent Readiness score is a weighted average across the four pillars. A score of 85 means your API passes 85% of the weighted checks — nothing more, nothing less.
Every finding includes evidence: the actual HTTP response (or absence) that triggered the result. You can verify every claim yourself.

Do I need to install anything?
